Seven Years (Of Primary School)
Once I was five years old,
My momma told me,
Go get yourself to school
Or you'll be lonely
Once I was five years old
It was a big, big place,
But we thought we were bigger.
Pushing teachers to the limits,
We were learning quicker.
By six we're adding up
Subtracting larger numbers
Reading books to help
Expand our imagination
Once I was seven years old,
My daddy told me,
Go get yourself to school
Or you'll be lonely.
Once I was seven years old
I always had that dream
As I started Key Stage two
So I started writing songs
I started writing stories
Something about that glory,
Never seemed to bore me,
Cause only those who taught me
Really got to know me
Once I was eight years old,
My story got told,
Before the morning sun, when I was lonely.
Once I was eight years old
I only see my goals,
I don't believe in failure.
Cause I know the smallest voices,
They can make it major,
I got my friends with me
They'll always be in favour And if we don´t see before I leave,
I hope to see you later.
Once I was nine years old
My story got told
I was writing about everything,
I saw before me
Once I was nine years old
I´m still learning about life
Teachers gave knowledge for me
And now I sing them all my song
And I can tell them stories
Most of my friends are with me
They're also seeking glory
And even though I part from some
They'll always be there for me.
Soon I´ll be eighteen years old
And if I work hard
I'll go out and change
The world for better.
I hope that I'll be happy
And maybe write a letter I hope to come and visit
Once or twice in future.
